Many people don't realise, but for every 100 litres of water used
inside your home, about 30 litres is used just in the shower. That's
about 54,000 litres over a year that goes gurgling down the drain in an
average home! Large amounts of water can be saved by installing a
modern High
Efficiency Showerhead.
Small droplets from new generation design High efficiency showerheads are
produced utilising new generation design technologies which produce small droplets and
provides a steady stream of water with ample wetting characteristics. This
means that you're able to get the same effect and result from every shower
whilst conserving water and energy. A high efficiency showerhead delivers
as little as 9 litres of water per minute compared to 20 - 25 litres per minute
from older showerheads.
The installation of high efficiency showerheads is a relatively low cost way
for us to minimise water and power charges whilst also helping to
conserve one of Earth's precious resources.
NOTE Modern high efficiency shower heads are designed mainly for storage hot water
systems. Unfortunately, instantaneous hot water systems do not generate enough
pressure to make the high efficiency showerhead work properly.
Be sure and check that you have enough pressure before buying a high efficiency showhead.
