A filter on your showerhead is the perfect solution to ensure you are showering with healthy water and at the same time giving an invigorating shower.

There are many models to choose from and according to your home water conditions some showerhead will suit you more than others.

Water with excessive calcium can block pipes when mixed with soap and cause narrowing of pipes and eventually, plumbing problems.

Your water supply also can contain chlorine which reduces the skin's ability to absorb moisture.

An example of a filter showerhead is the Aquasana shower filter.

The Aquasana shower filter is a uniquely designed 2 stage filter that reduces chemicals making your shower more healthy and beneficial. It is a  high capacity filter and is easy to install.

In Stage One water flows through a granular copper/zinc media for the
reduction of chlorine and to enhance pH balance.

In Stage Two a high grade of coconut shell carbon is used for the
reduction of synthetic chemicals that can vaporize and be inhaled with steam
while showering.

This particular filter showerhead only needs replacement every 6-8 months.
